In the beginning it sort of seems like they are making it out like Red is Liz's father, but there I can see something else being there too. Especially in recent episode when she has a dream of Red asking her who she really wants, and he is totally checking out her bare legs, as she lay on that bed in that hotel room.
Red is such a badass criminal and what makes him even more loveable is the fact that he has emotional damage that drive him to do what he does. He has lost so much, but he also loves a great deal and is very loyal, and expects loyalty in return. I love that about this character and think that James Spader plays Raymond Reddington perfectly. Plus he looks heck of cute in those suits, and hats *swoon.*
Liz was married to a man named Tom Keen who we find out rather quickly is a total liar. He was placed in her life because of Reddington by Berlin. The man who is after Reddington for killing his daughter, but Red says he didn't do it. Red warns Liz from the start about her husband Tom, but she doesn't listen until it is already too late.
Okay now that there is some background to the show and them, I will now begin why I love Lizzington so much. They are just freaking adorable together, and you can tell he cares deeply for her. She may not love him but she kind of needs him, and he is the only one she can really lean on and trust. Even though he is hiding so much from her she needs him in her life. I love the scenes when he lightly touches her arm, or back, and when he holds her or her hand. I just love it.
I have read quite a bit of fan fiction about these two and it just brings a smile to my face. I would so love a boyfriend like Red all mysterious, dangerous, handsome, snazzy dresser, and a total badass with a sense of humor. I love looking at fan art, fiction, videos for them because I can totally see a romance there. Unless of course Red does really end up being her father then that would just be kind of weird.
