I must say that this episode got me so much more interested in Belle. I enjoyed her character and her romance with Rumplestiltskin, but seeing more of her back story made me love her a bit more. She has had her run in with Anna and had kept it a secret from Elsa, and her husband. Belle mother was killed in the ogre wars which she didn't even remember. She had to go to Arendelle to find the rock trolls to help her regain her memory. She meets Anna on her journey and we find out that Belle is the last person to know what happened to Anna when she went missing.
I have been very pleased with all the Frozen mentions in the season. They even had Oaken in the episode, and I laughed so hard when I heard him say "Yoo-Hoo" I loved that scene in the movie just because is so odd but funny to have in there. That is where Belle meets Anna and she takes her to see the rock trolls. Anna has discovered that her parents went to Rumple seeking a magical hat that would strip away ones magic. She is confused on why her parents wanted to take Elsa's powers since that is what made her special. Her aunt, aka the Snow Queen listens to Anna tell Kristoff all this and follows her to the rock trolls. Belle gets what she is looking for in the form a stone, but when the Snow Queen attacks she looses it. She also looses Anna to the hands of the Snow Queen. Anna falls from the cliff and the Snow Queen makes them disappear in a cloud of smoke.
The Snow Queen wants a perfect little family, and she locked Anna up so she wouldn't be apart of that. She has been after Emma since before she was born and that just blew my mind. She was had a prophecy that said the saviors name is Emma, and she would become her sister. She believes this to be true, and she wants Elsa and Emma to be her only family. That mirror is part of a curse that if unleashed the whole town would destroy itself by everyone turning on each other. Then the only ones left would be her, Emma, and Elsa. It was so freaking good and everything fit together so nicely that it put a smile on my face. I like where this story has been going with the Snow Queen.
I am not fond however how sad Regina is with the whole Robin thing. He told her he still loved her and was in fact in love with her that is why true loves kiss didn't work on Marian. Regina tells him to forget about her because she cannot find a way to save Marian, so he needs to find a way to fall back in love with his wife. I cannot stand this story line right now because I loved them together as couple. Them apart is not so cute.
Belle used the dagger against Rumple, and it was one hell of a scene. She had a little chat with herself in the Snow Queen's mirror about Rumple as well. Deep down she knows that her husband is lying to her I think, and that is what mirror Belle told her. She demanded that Rumple take her to the Snow Queen so that she could get the hat because that is a link to Anna, and because they can use it to destroy her. Little does Belle know that her husband has the hat and is using it to his own gain, and now has something on the Snow Queen. Belle ends up freaking out on Rumple and cuts him and they disappear from the ice cave, and into his shop in a cloud of smoke. She realizes that she has cut Rumple and breaks down a bit. It was sad but it was good scene because we again see Rumple's guilty eyes when Belle tells him she is so sorry for lying, and she knows he would never hide a huge secret form her... Yeah those guilty eyes came out big time with that one.
I loved this episode because of the Belle centric scene, and for getting more of what the Snow Queen wants. I cannot wait for next week when we see Emma go a little uncontrollable with her powers. Thank you all for reading today and hope you tune in tomorrow for some more goodness.
