Even though I have not watched much of the show in the last couple years, I love this show so much. I was a huge fan of Degrassi: The Next Generation and it was something that I watched all the time, and learned valuable life lessons.
I watched this show back when I was in junior high and loved it so much. I remember when I was in the eighth grade the episode came on where JT gets killed. I was so sad because he was my favorite character from the beginning and seeing Toby step up to that doctor and say JT was his brother made me cry more. He was going to go to Liberty and tell her he loved her and he never got that chance. Oh man I am crying a bit just typing this up.
Degrassi was known as the show that went there, and it did. It covered everything you could imagine happening in high school. The episode where Emma was talking to that boy online but it turned out to be an older man pretending to be a young boy. That was when chatting in chat rooms and everything was relatively fresh and it showed that you don't agree to meet someone in a hotel room, especially without telling anyone. We saw love triangles, teen pregnancy, shootings, eating disorders, sex, STD's, suicide, bullying, murder and so much more on this show. I was sad when I saw that it was ending because I liked going and watching through out the seasons to see what was going on.
I am glad that Netflix has decided to pick up the series, and I will definitely watch it on Netflix. Even though my favorite episodes were with the original cast I still love the show, and hope that it is just as crazy dramatic as ever. Thank you so much for reading.
