Showing posts with the label Benedict Cumberbatch

Congrats Mr. Cumberbatch!

Just wanted to take time to congratulate Benedict Cumberbatch on his Oscar nomination for playing Alan Turing in The Imitation Game. I think that he deserves this honor because he is truly an amazing actor. He connects so well to his characters and makes the audience actually care and enjoy what they are watching on their screens. Well I wish him luck and congratulations. ~Keep Dreaming and Scheming~

Person of the Week: Benedict Cumberbatch

I know that I have made quite a few posts talking on and on about Benedict Cumberbacth, but I feel like he needs to be my person of the week. Benedict known best for his work on Sherlock is now going to be a dad. He stared along side Keira Knightley as Alan Turing a brilliant man helping figure out the Nazi Germany's Enigma code in The Imitation Game. He is currently filming the Sherlock special, and is recently engaged. He has been a rather busy and popular man and I think he deserves all of it. He is such a brilliant actor who can make you tremble with fear one minute, some minutes you want to hug him, others you may want to just make out with him. Whatever feeling may be present while watching one of his movies, or shows he makes you feel something. His voice is so unique and he can make you so nervous and be quite afraid, or it can feel like he is seducing you. I better stop myself now before I get a little too creepy. I have been a fan of Benedict since I first saw Sherl...

SHERLOCK!

*Spoilers Ahead* I am so ridiculously happy, and excited right now. I started my morning off with waffles, coffee, and conversation with the youngsters. I then log onto my computer to check out what has been going on in the world, then I logged onto Tumblr. There I saw so much greatness for my eyes. Some set pictures of Sherlock. The special that is an extra episode for us, which is exciting because that means an extra episode. The series usually runs three episodes, and that is just never enough of Sherlock and Watson for me. The episodes are packed with amazing story lines, funny quips, impressive thoughts, dramatic and touching scenes. Benedict Cumberbatch is such a brilliant Sherlock Holmes. His voice and mannerism just makes him so perfect for the part, and I cannot see anyone playing it better. If you remember last season ended with Sherlock being sent off by his brother after killing a man, but then something came up. By something I mean Moriarty coming back from the freak...

Screen Cap Sherlock

I was watching series 3 of Sherlock on Netflix and I found today's screen cap in "His Last Vow." I loved this finale, but there was one moment in particular that just made me laugh. Christmas morning at Sherlock's parents house when Mycroft and Sherlock are outside having a smoke. They are smoking and their mother comes out "Are you two smoking?" Sherlock says "It was Mycroft" and Mycroft said "No." It was just a typical brothers thing and that made me laugh, but at the end of that scene is when I just smile and laugh. Mycroft tells Sherlock about a job offer that he should turn down, because he will surely die. Then Mycroft tells Sherlock that losing him would break him, and Sherlock chokes on the smoke and replies "What the hell am I suppose to say to that?" That is the scene that I just loved, but there were so many more in this episode that just stood out to me and I had to pick one. Thank you for reading everyone. Kee...

More Sherlock on Netflix!

Today June 2, is the day they put series 3 of Sherlock. Along with adding the recent series there is also some new specials to go along with them. In the season 3 section you will see 3 extra little 22 minute features about Sherlock and Watson, the women of Sherlock, and the villains. There is also another special about the making of the show, and a lot of behind the scene stuff which I have yet to watch. I have watched the three specials and they are pretty awesome to see the table reads from the first episode, and hear about the casting process. I am in the process of watching season 3 yet again because I love it. I am watching the first episode "The Empty Hearse" and I love the reaction to John's mustache it just cracks me up every time. Now there are 3 series to watch that means there are 9 episodes. I think this a brilliant show and it has so much humor, cleverness, and wit. Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman work so well together and the chemistry is just a...

Sherlock *Spoilers* For "The Empty Hearse"

Sherlock is completely blowing my mind right now especially since Mycroft was in on the whole thing. I thought it was really freaking amazing how the first episode of season 3 started, titled "The Empty Hearse" it truly was a great premiere for the series. Sherlock goes and works underground so that he can take out all of Moriarty's work he left behind. It is still unclear as to how Sherlock pulled off the fake suicide, but there were a few people in on it, and when John finds out it was way better than I could have imagined. John grieved for Sherlock so when he finds his friend posing as a waiter on the night he was going to propose to Mary, he was less than thrilled. They get into a bit of a fight, well a few fights throughout the night. Sherlock kept making jokes about John's mustache and of course John the next day shaves it off. Mary tells Sherlock that she will talk to John about going back to work alongside Sherlock yet again, and eventually John goes to him...

The Benedict Cumberbatch Obsession

I have been reading a lot lately about people not knowing why anyone really likes Benedict Cumberbatch. All the articles say that yes he is good actor, but they do not see what the big deal with this man is. I am here to offer my opinion on why I think Benedict Cumberbatch is stealing so many hearts. For one his name alone has you saying it all day long, even if its for no reason at all. Benedict Cumberbatch just sounds so nice saying it out loud. Another thing is that voice of his. He has such a sinister voice, and it makes the characters he play just so amazing. He can impersonate Alan Rickman, and I think that is pretty darn awesome. I can understand why people may not get the obsession, he doesn't look like the guys you see thrown in your face by Hollywood all the time. He is a great British actor who just captivates with this unique look, and acting skills. "Sherlock" is one of the best adaptations of Sherlock Holmes I have seen in a long time, and it is the ...
