I have not really made a necessary roughness post before so here it goes.
Tonight Wednesday February 20 is the season 2 finale of Necessary Roughness, and it is going to be a big one. Hopefully those who read this watch the show because it is truly great television. In last weeks episode there was a player on the football team that is gay, and wants to come out of the closet publicly. That is a problem for him because of the job he has, and he is afraid but Dani helps him realize that it's what best because his partner is going to leave him because he thinks he is ashamed of their love. The player is the quarterback on the Hawks, and he is fearing that the rest of the team are going to tear him apart, and make him quit. They try to do so because well they are close minded lets be honest gay isn't something you should hate.
I think it's great they are doing an episode like this because even till this day and how common it is people give crap to other for being gay. That should not be the case anymore because they are just people who shouldn't be treated like dirt because of their choices. Then again I was just raised a different way, I have friends who are gay and they are some of my best friends in the world. So being able to do a story so well like this and have it told in a great and real way may open some peoples eyes. At least I hope it does, because all this hate needs to stop.
Now that we talked about all that, I am going to talk about the romance part of the show. Dani has entered a complicated place after she kissed Nico, because now shes feeling something that has been there but she never noticed. Then there is Matt the man that she loves, and she realizes that she does want his kids and a life with him but he has moved on. So now Dani is just stuck Matt doesn't want to be used again and be jerked around by her anymore so now what? That is the question, personally I love her with Nico because he is so private and closed off. I think seeing a relationship between those two would be very interesting to see unfold. Tonight in the finale she is going to make a decision about the whole thing so hopefully it's something good to see.
