I love their romance because Regina was destined to fall in love with Robin. Tinkerbell told her that her true love was found in a tavern, with a lion tattoo and that was Robin Hood. They meet when the Wicked Witch comes around and from the start their banter was adorable. Robin saw pass her evil past, and insisted that she could indeed have a happy ending with him.
How sweet right? A hot hunk of a man like Robin Hood telling you that you and him could have a happy ending together, and just be so in love with you. Only that didn't last...Of course not. Robin Hood's dead wife Marian came back from the past when Emma and Hook went and messed with things after Zelena was defeated. I was so sad because Robin told Regina that he had to stay with Marian for the vows he made her when they were married. Poor Regina, and then Marian falls under a ice curse due to the Snow Queen.
Regina tries to distance herself from Robin as well as everyone else. Robin however cannot stay away from Regina, and when True Loves kiss fails to wake Marian from the curse there is a glimmer of hope in Regina's eye. Robin tells her the reason it did not work is because he is in love with someone else, but cannot leave his wife. Damn him his loyalty and honor is kind of hot, but I just want him to be with Regina.
However hope is not lost because Robin and Regina had a pretty cute, then hot and steamy scene in last weeks episode. They hooked up in her crypt and they were being all adorable with each other, I loved it. There was a page of the storybook that showed what Regina could have had with Robin if she went to him that night at the tavern. He told her that it showed things could change, and that it was a sign of hope. It was nice I love them as a couple, and right now they are my favorite ship on the show even my OTP is giving me heart attacks. I can't wait to see more from these two lovebirds.
