Movie Pick: This is Where I Leave You

Since I am slow I barley watched this entertaining movie. A movie about love, family, tough times, and heartbreak is a movie for me. Also the cast is so great and my hero Tina Fey is one of those amazing people. Also staring Jason Bateman, Jane Fonda, Timothy Olyphant, Dax Shepard, Adam Driver, Cory Stoll, Kathryn Hahn, Connie Britton, and so many other great people. I really enjoyed the dark humor that was in the movie. I love comedy especially when it is something that should not be funny, but ends up totally being hilarious.

The Altman siblings lose their father and go back to their childhood home for a week. Judd (Bateman) had just found out that his wife was cheating on him with his boss played by Dax Shepard. He is in a bad place when he gets word of the death of his father, and goes back home to spend a whole week living in his childhood home with his mother and siblings again. His sister Wendy (Fey), brothers Paul (Stoll) and Philip (Driver) are a little crazy put all together. Wendy is married to a complete jerk off named Barry and she has two kids with him, even though she is in love with the boy next door Horry (Olyphant) but he had an accident which left him brain damaged. Paul and his wife Annie are trying for a baby but even with all the treatments they have had no luck.

Philip is dating his therapist played by Connie Briton and it does not end well. He is a young playboy who just screws up all the time, and she is a put together older woman. The relationship goes south when Philip cheats on her with this girl he use to date, and she leaves him telling him that she needs a man and he is a child. Judd finds out that his soon to be ex-wife is pregnant with his daughter and he has to deal with that on top of his insane family problems, and his father's death. All these events do not really sound like they would be funny, but that is the talent of writing at its finest because it was pretty hilarious.

I recommend this movie, and suggest that you do not watch it if this kind of humor is not for you. There is that message of live everyday the way you want to live it, and be proud of who you are. I really enjoyed it and hope that if you watch it that you will like it as well. Thank you so much for reading.

Ship of the Week? Lizzington

Hello all and welcome to another Ship of the Week. Today we have the concierge of crime Raymond Reddington and FBI agent Elizabeth Keen. In the beginning it sort of seems like they are making it out like Red is Liz's father, but there I can see something else being there too. Especially in recent episode when she has a dream of Red asking her who she really wants, and he is totally checking out her bare legs, as she lay on that bed in that hotel room. Red is such a badass criminal and what makes him even more loveable is the fact that he has emotional damage that drive him to do what he does. He has lost so much, but he also loves a great deal and is very loyal, and expects loyalty in return. I love that about this character and think that James Spader plays Raymond Reddington perfectly. Plus he looks heck of cute in those suits, and hats *swoon.* Liz was married to a man named Tom Keen who we find out rather quickly is a total liar. He was placed in her life because of Redd...

This Week in Port Charles "General Hospital" Update

So I have been catching up on "General Hospital" and let me tell you that it has been a crazy week in Port Charles. Everyone who is a fan of "General Hospital" or soap operas in general know that they always take the most drastic, yet obvious turns in the plot lines. I love all this intense drama, and lives being on the line, and all the baby drama of this show. Dante and Lulu now know that Connie is not really their child, and now Maxie and Spinelli want their child back. Lulu decided that she is going to sue them for custody of Connie. Let's just talk about this story line for a moment shall we? Legally it seems like the favor would land with Maxie and Spinelli since they are the real parents, but if Lulu goes and tells a judge all of the stuff Maxie has done then yeah that could cause some trouble. I really want to see Maxie and Spinelli, even though Dante and Lulu have wanted a baby so badly. Yes, they have bonded with the baby, and have prepared for rai...

Eric Northman and Sookie Stackhouse

Hello world, today the ship is going to be Eric Northman and Sookie Stackhouse from True Blood. Ever since the first season I had liked Eric more than Bill, and I thought his moments with Sookie were so real. Does that make sense? A lot has happened over the years, but when Eric and Sookie were finally a thing, or as close to a thing as they can get I was so happy. Of course it doesn't last long because it is always that never ending 'which man to choose' battle going on in her head. I am still holding out for a bit of hope that they end up together, but probably not. Especially with recent events leaving Eric to catch the sunlight, and since Warlowe is dead the blood that was taken from him is also done for. So Eric is off in another place alone when he comes out butt naked, and sits to read in the sunlight. I really did like this scene for multiple reasons, but it was a great scene because Eric thought he was safe, and that he could do what he wanted but that is not t...
