So let me start off by saying that this Finale has been one of the best Summer Fianle's of any show I watched this Summer.
So the girls have been getting closer to Red Coat and to figuring out who she really is. A sent some magic eight balls with a message saying if Ashley gets out of jail then she is coming after them. They got another message saying that A would kill Mona and they would get blamed for the murder. There was a lot that A was trying to protect because the girls were getting so close, too close. The fact that Spencer, Hanna, Emily, and Aria knew that CeCe was Red Coat was a huge secret blown because, well because if they got a hold of CeCe they may have an open shot at A.
I was really glad to see that Aria was getting a little sick and tired of Jake as a boyfriend, and that Ezra was back in her sights. I still strongly believe they belong together even if he isn't who he seems to be, okay I am getting ahead of myself. Aria and Jake were watching a movie which Aria enjoyed but Jake was sleeping through the whole thing, and he did not want to go to that poetry reading with her and that was something she really wanted. I did think Jake was pretty good looking, but Ezra had Aria's heart and he was a sexy English teacher so Jake loses. Aria ends up going to the Brew and runs into Ezra who was there for the poetry reading, and the two shared a kiss. I smiled so brightly when I saw that moment.
Emily was of course kidnapped in this episode (It's always Emily) and she was taken while Aria was being used for a magic trick. The girls took a trip to Ravenswood while Toby was tailing Shawna who was going straight to Mona. I liked the Mona story line for this season, it was right on the line between is she good, or still evil, or both? Mona was doing things that were certainly to help the girls especially Hanna, but then again she spent years lying and being so bad that she could get away with it. I think that Mona really did value her friendship with Hanna despite how much she screwed with her and her friends. When the girls were in Ravenswood they were chasing Red Coat, but Spencer believes that it was indeed Ali who was leading her to A's lair. Aria went after CeCe and beat her up pretty good, and then CeCe fell off the railing to the ground. Now you would think that she was dead right? Or at least injured to some extent, but no she got up and left while the girls were talking. They should know better by now that you should just tie someone up, or NOT TAKE YOUR EYES OFF OF THEM.
So CeCe is missing again, and then you find out that Ali is not dead. Okay so if you remember that creepy head mistress lady told the girls that Alison called her thinking she could help her because she was scared for her life. Ali was buried alive, and was pulled out and driven to the hospital but took off the minute they got there. So there was a lot of information to be taken in during this finale. Fact is that Alison is NOT dead, and is on the run from A as well. Inside A's lair you saw how A was tracking their every move, and there where boards with time lines for each girl on there, including Alison. It was all very intense seeing that A actually had cameras, and taps on each and everyone of them with this computer system. Hannah takes something from the lair, and I would really like to know exactly what that was. Also they figured out that A is not a girl but a guy. Hmmm so this opened up all kinds of crazy things because everyone was thinking that Ali was going to end up being A or Red Coat. Even though Ali was in the Red Coat she was trying to help her friends out, not destroy them.
So now that all that is out of the way the big twist that I thought was really just a huge bomb being dropped, was that Ezra Fitz is A. That's right Mr. Fitz the man that Aria loves, and the sexy teacher who stole so many hearts as the loving and caring teacher. When the girls decide to stay in Ravenswood to crash a party that Ali and A are going to be at then that is when you see a man dressed all in black going into the lair, and you see his face. My jaw hit the ground when I was looking at Ezra, and I was just blown away because I was not expecting that. It never even crossed my mind that he could be A, maybe there was one episode when I thought maybe, but I mean it's Ezra. That is what makes this such a good story because the fact that it is Ezra, and he just seems like the nicest, sweetest guy in the show and you feel so bad because he wasn't really Malcolm's father. I thought a great job was done by the cast, writers, director, and the rest of the crew on this episode.
So now there are a lot of questions going through my mind. Is Ezra the older guy that Ali had been seeing? Has he been behind this the whole time? Remember that Ali was getting threats from A before she disappeared. Where do Wren, Melissa, Jenna, Shawna, and all these other people fit in? Now I am questioning everything. Was Ezra the one who killed Wilden? Did he kill Garret? This show has its intense moments, and I love it so much. I cannot get enough of it. So post your thoughts in the comments, and tell me what you think of Ezra being A. What will happen with Aria? Who knows but we know that with this show there is nothing simple in the explanations.
The Halloween special is going to be 2 hours long, and comes on in 55 days. Start your countdowns now, you know I already have the date saved.
Till Next Time Internet Friends! Watch Pretty Little Liars
P.S. I still love Ezra even more so now that his dark side is out in the open.
