Vampire Academy! Spoilers! If You Have Not Read or Seen the Movie

VA Cast
I know this is not Television related, but it is something important to me. I am a huge fan of this book series, and the fact that is now a movie just makes me so happy. There has been a lot of negative remarks about this movie, and  I get that it may not be what some readers wanted but I was pleased. There were a couple things that I wish was added to the film of course, but the stuff they had as well as the things they added were great.

The movie starts off showing the accident that killed Lissa's parents and her brother Andre. It was very intense to see actually, and you see how Rose and Lissa get their bond which was cool to see acted out in front of you. The chemistry between Rose and Lissa was perfect and I thought the casting choice for Rose was spot on. The scene when we meet my dream man Dimitri Belikov was just awesome, and even though in the book she sees him across the street by a tree the way in the movie fit so well. It made more sense for a movie scene that he came out with a fire behind him introducing himself, and then knocking Rose out and taking the girls back to St. Vladimir Academy.

Christian Ozera was a great casting choice, and I loved how he was with Lissa. I had my doubts about Lissa when I saw the trailer come out, but once I saw the film and saw how she acted I was sold on her. I thought that she did an amazing job as Lissa and now I can't see anyone else playing here. All the scenes when Lissa is using compulsion on everyone in school, including Headmistress Kirova. It was all very interesting to see being played out for you on the big screen. Victor Dashkov was just as creepy and slimy as I wanted him to be too. In the book Victor creeped me out the way he was talking to Lissa when he had her taken from the academy, and it was the same feeling seeing it in the movie.

VA Cast with Richelle Mead
There is this dream scene when Christian comes after Lissa because he turned himself into a Strigoi like his parents did, and brings other Strigoi to the academy. There are people dying left and right and Rose tries to protect Lissa while Dimitri one of the Guardians trying to protect everyone is fighting Christian. You knew it was a dream but it still hit you hard, especially when you see Rose looking at the body of her love Dimitri. It was a very intense scene and I thought that it was shot very well. I fell in love with Mason, and when Rose called him Ducky it was so adorable. All he wants is to be the focus of her attention, and he is just in the friend zone. I mean compared to Dimitri though poor Mason has no chance, but I would chose Mason over Jesse.

Ms. Karp was insanely great, and seeing her all Strigoi was crazy. It was so sad to see what could happen to a spirit user, and then to find out that Lissa is in that same position. I loved reading all of this in the book and I enjoyed seeing it played out on screen. I encourage all of you who were iffy on seeing this movie based on the trailers to go see it. It is way better than any of promos you saw were, and it was very entertaining to see favorite characters come to life. I do wish that there were a few more scenes of classroom settings, but the part where Christian uses his fire magic in class was funny. Oh Christian, he is so cute and was by far my favorite casting in this movie.

Dimitri Belikov
Now to talk about my favorite man; Dimitri Belikov. He is a tall, muscular, handsome, strong Guardian who stole Rose's heart. I smiled so wide when hearing Rose call him Comrade in the beginning, and then to hear him calling her Roza. I died of too many feels on that one, and so many more of their moments together. I was losing it when the charm scene came on because Danila Kozlovsky the actor playing Dimitri is a very good looking man, and you seem him in nothing but his underwear which was pleasing to the eyes. The line when Dimitri is telling Rose that he cannot love her because if he did then he would not throw himself in front of the Princess like he is supposed to, but instead throw himself in front of Rose, was just great. Dimitri is my favorite character and for those who read the books you may know what becomes of his character development, and you understand why we all want these other movies to be made.

Going into the movie and seeing the characters was kind of odd, because I know what happened to the characters and I knew who the bad guy was in the book. You would think that would ruin the story for a person but it only made it better. I know that everyone has their own opinion and that is fine this just happens to be mine. I thought that overall this movie was a win, and I hope that "Frostbite" gets made, and we get to see Adrian Ivashkov come on the big screen. I forgot to mention Natalie and Mia in this post and I just want to say that I love Mia especially later on in the series. Natalie was so funny and odd just like she was in the book and then she was just crazy. I loved the way the Strigoi looked in the movie, and I loved the way it was filmed, and written. I cannot wait to see this movie for a third time, and fall in love with Dimitri over and over again. I hope that all of you go check out the movie, and read the books. Thank you for reading.

Ship of the Day! Janto!

It is time to do a ship of the day and for those of you who don't know what that is, it's when I pick a random ship from a series and talk about them. So today it is going to be Janto, which is Jack and Ianto from Torchwood.  Torchwood is one of my favorite series, and I am still hoping it comes back one day. The relationship between Jack and Ianto was one that I fell in love with because they were so cute together. Jack was the big strong man who would always disappear and had so many secrets. Ianto was the cute coffee boy who didn't really admit his feelings for Jack, but when he did it was adorable. In season 2 Jack asks Ianto out on their first date, and it is so cute seeing that interaction. I was saying "Aw" so loud when I watched that episode, I still do it when I watch it now. There is just something about their relationship that I was just drawn to. Ianto Jones was in his own way a badass, but when season 3 came around that was his end. That scene

Where Have I Been??

Hello readers. I have taken about a year away from writing on this blog and it has been a very interesting experience. I have gotten a new job which has consumed quite a bit of time, and I have started a new relationship which takes up the other half of my time. I do miss writing though about different shows and I cannot wait to get back into this. I am going to make this a part of my routine and try to get at least a few posts out a week.  I am super excited to talk the final season of Scandal and of course Grey's Anatomy. There are also some cool shows on Netflix that I have been waiting to discuss, and cannot wait. I hope that people will read the new stuff I am writing and enjoy it just as before.  Thank you all and remember...  ~Keep Dreaming and Scheming~
