Oh Snow you running away from those guards, then jumping off a cliff not knowing what the outcome would be. I love the intensity of this show, because it starts off with a fast pace chase right off the bat. Who else let out a huge sigh of relief when Hook tells David and Snow about Neal being alive? I for one was excited that he told them, because this just proves that he is trying to change for Emma. The thing is that David and Hook did not want to tell Emma right away until they knew for sure that Neal was alive. Snow had to ruin it though and open her big mouth and say that he might be alive, and now Emma is feeling way too many emotions coming over her. Regina is trying to teach Emma how to use her magic, and it is quite a sight because Regina is evil, Emma is not.
Rumple gets himself into quite a bit of trouble when the shadow pretends to be Belle and is attacked. Lucky for him that Regina finds him and helps him out. I love scenes between Robert Carlyle and Lana Parrilla because they are so good at being evil, and they make their conversations humorous. Regina makes the comment of "If you die it will be by my two hands" that was a scene that was funny to see. Regina asks if there is another way, and Rumple tells her that there might be something at his shop in Storybrooke. Regina tells him that he does not have to die because she knows a way they can get what they need from Storybrooke.
Ariel saved the life of Snow White while she was on the run from Regina, and she jumped off that cliff into the water. When Ariel saved her they were talking, and they talked about true love of course. That is when we find out that Ariel's true love is Prince Eric, and he is having a ball in honor of the sea goddess Ursula. I like the twist this show takes, it is just so amazing that these thoughts come from the human brain. They take these classic stories and put their own spin on them without going over the top. Ariel informs Snow that every year mermaids are granted to walk on land from the sea goddess and Ariel has twelve hours to be with her Prince, the only problem is Eric doesn't know she is a mermaid. He holds a ball every year for Ursula and when Ariel and Snow go to the ball Eric looks at Ariel with such passion. She saved his life when he was in a ship wreck only she cannot tell him that because she doesn't want him to know who or what she really is. Regina is after Snow of course so when she sees that her guards were not able to kill Snow White, she gets the idea to go to Ariel and use her to trick Snow White. Ariel gets to dance with her Prince and even invites her to sail the world with him, but she can't tell him she is a mermaid. Ariel goes to Ursula for help and seeing Regina come into the scene as Ursula just blew my mind. She looked absolutely amazing as the sea witch, and she gave Ariel what she wanted the ability to be human for good. The price of course was that Snow would have to be turned into a mermaid, and that played right into Regina's plan of capturing Snow. This bracelet that Ariel put on Snow gave her a tail, and Regina showed up to kill Snow but Ariel saved her life, and stabbed Regina with a fork which I thought was funny. Ariel helps Snow get away from Regina, but when she goes back to stop Eric from leaving to tell him the truth about her being a mermaid, she cannot speak. Regina informs her that she took her voice, and now she would have to live with the thoughts of what could have been between her and Eric. While in Neverland Regina calls on Ariel for help because mermaids have the ability to go between realms. Regina returns Ariel's voice and says that if she helps her she will give her legs, and control over them this time and that her prince was in Storybrooke. So I am excited to see how Ariel gets on in Storybrooke, but I know that with Belle by her side they are going to accomplish what they need to.
Emma, Hook, and her parents are on the hunt for Neal, and the trail leads them to the Echo Caves. The trick with this cave is that you have to tell your darkest secret to get what you want in there. Since Neal is stuck in a cage with now way to get across the gap, that is when the truths start coming to light. This scene was my favorite by far in this entire episode because of what was said by everyone. Hook says that he kissed Emma, but Snow already knew the secret was that he never thought he would be able to move pass his first love Milah but he had, and he had chosen Emma to do so with. Snow tells David that she acted like she was okay with missing out on raising Emma, but she wasn't and all she wanted to do was when they got off the island was to have another baby with David. That would be so adorable wouldn't it? A little sibling for Emma, and a younger Aunt or Uncle for Henry. David tells the truth of what him and Hook were doing while on search for the sexton, and that he can never leave Neverland or he will die. There were so many emotions going on during this scene that when Emma went to Neal and it was her turn to spill a secret in order to get the cage open, the heartache just got worse. Emma tells Neal that she has always been in love with him, and probably always will be, but she was a little upset that he was really alive because she did not want to feel the hurt again. She does not want to go through what he put her through again, and no matter how much she loves him she cannot bring herself to let herself love him openly again. That hit right in the feels, and it was just one blow after another with this whole relationship. Emma stops behind and lets Hook, and her parents go ahead while she apologizes for how she feels. Neal tells her she has nothing to be sorry about, and that his secret was that he would never stop fighting for her. Another blow to the feels when Hook is there watching the exchange between the two, and it was so sad because I like both Neal and Hook. Sometimes with love triangles there is someone you don't like, but in this case I can see Emma with Hook, or Neal and she has connections with both of them. I really like Hook and Neal a lot, and to see one sad just makes me sad.
This season has been so great from the start, and it is only going to get better from here. There are only five more episodes left until the show takes it break, then returns for eleven more episodes. Currently filming episode ten we see some familiar faces in Storybrooke, how they got there, and what they are doing is yet to be scene. You just know with Ariel in Storybrroke telling everyone that Rumplestiltskin and Regina sent her for help to save his life and Henry's a lot of emotions are going to come up. The only one who cares for Rumple is Belle, and nobody really likes Regina in Storybrooke. Do you still think there is someone of importance in that other box? Leave your thoughts in the comments, and thank you as always for reading.
